FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a prescription or referral from my doctor for physical therapy?

A prescription is highly recommended for treatment but is not required. The State of Maryland allows open access for care which means licensed physical therapists can treat patients without a prescription. However, please be aware that certain insurance companies require a prescription from your primary care physician or specialist to cover treatment.

Do you take insurance?

No. Level PT is out-of-network for all private / commercial insurance. However, we do submit all claims for our patients. In addition, our billing department will review each patient’s out-of-network benefits & deductible status, calculate an estimated co-payment for the evaluation & treatments, and share this information with the patient prior to their first appointment.

If your out-of-network deductible has been met, your insurance will pay a portion of the cost to either Level PT or directly to you depending on your plan.

Payment is due at the end of each session.

Do you treat Medicare patients?
